OperAlpha Ledger

The evidenced record of every pound taken out.

Software that moves every cost-out, consolidation and automation change through hypothesis, baseline, approval, delivery, evidence and valuation bridge, with owners, gates and an audit trail. Board packs, LP attribution and the exit evidence pack come straight from the record.

The Ledger records every step and is the evidence handed back at step 6.

What it is

The Ledger is where operational alpha is kept. Each change in each portfolio company has a record: the hypothesis and its EBITDA case, the measured baseline from the PinpointProof map, the approval at the gate, delivery status, attached evidence, and its place in the valuation bridge. Owners and approvers are named; every change is logged. Because the record is built as the work happens, the board pack, the LP value creation attribution and the exit evidence pack come straight from the Ledger whenever fundraising or a sale calls for them.

What you receive
  • One record per change with six gates and a full audit trail, linked to the PinpointProof process map it came from
  • Portfolio and company views of planned, run-rate and evidenced cost-out and automation value
  • Board pack and monthly business review generated from the record
  • Value creation attribution by asset and initiative for LP reporting
  • The exit evidence pack, assembled from the record 12 to 24 months before a planned exit or continuation vehicle
  • Exports to the portfolio monitoring platforms sponsors already use
How it runs

A fixed rhythm, agreed up front.

Week 1

Set up

Portfolio structure, owners and approvers configured; existing value creation plans and Diagnostic findings loaded as initiatives.

Week 2

Baseline

Current initiatives baselined and gated; first board pack generated to confirm the format.

Monthly

Run the cadence

Gates reviewed, evidence attached, run-rate updated, board packs issued. The Bench can run this for you.

At exit

Evidence pack

The record becomes the exit evidence pack, answering buyer and LP questions from the source.

Fit

Who it suits, and where another route serves better.

A good fit when

You want one place where every cost-out, consolidation and automation change is planned, approved, delivered and evidenced across the portfolio, and you would like board packs and LP attribution to come straight from that record. VC platform teams use Ledger Lite for a lighter version of the same discipline.

Consider another route when

You need fund administration, valuations or KPI monitoring at scale, which your existing platform already does well. The Ledger complements those systems and exports to them.

Questions
Is the Ledger a monitoring platform?+

It is a record of changes, approvals and evidence. It sits alongside the KPI and NAV monitoring tools sponsors already have and exports to them.

How does it connect to PinpointProof?+

Each Ledger initiative links to the process map and the costed activities it came from, so a buyer or an LP can trace an evidenced saving back to the activities that were eliminated, consolidated or automated.

Who can see what?+

Sponsors see the portfolio view; each portfolio company sees its own initiatives; approvers see the gates they own. LP and buyer outputs are generated as documents, so nobody outside the sponsor needs a login.
